Cold Start Issues?

I have a 99 CLK430....I've noticed this winter when it gets really cold my car struggles to start. Usually its the first crank (won't start) and if I try again it starts right up. This morning temps are in the low Teens and the car won't turn over at all. Battery appears to be fine. Any ideas?

I don't live in the cold part of the world, but I wonder if this has to do with your battery's cold cranking amps? At least that's what it sounds like since this only happens when it's cold. Also if your oil is too thick it will turn over hard...

These are conflicting statements.

"Turn over" means the starter will operate.

"Turn over" does NOT refer to whether the motor starts.

If the starter won't operate, the battery is NOT fine.

The fact a battery will light lights is irrelevant to whether it will operate a starter motor.
