E55 Clunking Noise After Acceleration
I have a stock 2000 E55 AMG w/83K mi.
With anything but very modest acceleration from a stop light that lifts the front, when you reach speed and the front lowers there is a load clunk from the drivers side front. It happens at other speeds as well, just takes more acceleration to lift the front. If going 35 and step on it, release the gas at 45 you will hear the clunk as the front lowers.
The sound is like the shock is bottoming out.
I first noticed this after replacing front brake pads.
Any ideas what it could be?
