Question Windshield Damage

I have some noticable windshield chips and some sandblasting on my windshield that makes me consider replacing it. Chips have already been repaired but are still visible.

Aside from the cost, is removing and installing a replacement windshield more likely to create any structural squeaks or groans while driving? Do I have to go to a dealer or can a glass shop handle this?

Call your dealer and ask for the shop they use. Doesn't your Insurance cover 100% replacement cost? Hammer. Crack....

You might have some more wind noise.

If its properly installed you shouldnt notice a diffrence.. Since 08 mercedes has be using a diffrent urethane 221....part number that is very high strenght. You 07 had the older style urethane so if you get it properly installed with mercedes parts you might have less noise

good luck
