Rust on bottom of doors

I recently noticed a rust problem on my 2000 s500. I removed the bottom door weatherstrips, cleaned, primed, and painted to minimize the rust damage. Question I have, after the clean up, how do you install the weatherstrips back on? Is there a recommended adhesive or do you just press them back on?

There was a recall on those strips, has it gone in for that (if the vin falls under it)?
The recall was just R&R and install a sealer on to the seal.
Yes just press them back on.

Thank you. I did not know about the recall, it looked like there was some type of sealer on it.

If there was a clear sealer on it, then the recall has been done.
