MB cant figure out why my battery dies in 4 days.
i took the car to MB dealer (only one official here in HK)
and they checked for 4 days and couldnt find out anything wrong.
they just said the battery water ratio is not suitable but dont know if it's the cause.
also, my car had strange sound (bon bon bon, like farting) at the boot bottom when I stopped the car after I accelerated to 3500rpm (around 160km, or 60km uphill). it is due to the exhaust pipe. they reposition it and it's now OK.

There have been a few recalls on MB batteries back in 94-99. you might want to request a newer made battery from MB. the old ones would decay faster then average, and in some cases wouldnt work properly.

If the water/acid levels are off the battery will not be charged any more and dies quick. Generally if the battery "boils" the water/acid level change and that's basically the end of the battery's life. The reasons therefore are shortend lead plates in the battery. Extreme whether conditions help to ruin the battery. Either extrem cold or extreme hot weather limits the battery life to about 4-5 years.I doubt if the battery has reached this age there will be any warrenty granted from MB.
You can also check the condition of the battery. Hook up a voltmeter and start the engine (from cold) the voltage reading during start tells you the story. If the voltage drops to below 6-7 Volts change it.
