hi my 1984 mbz has this ticking inside the motor sometimes, but it doesn't effect the fuel economy & it drives great. is this normal for a 190e?...sounds like the lifters, but not sure. do u think this will be a problem in the future?...no leaks under car.

well it sounds like a diesel sometimes. no leaks or anything drives great everything works. i just thought it could be a lifter problem or i needed a valve adjustment.

story of the car, it's an 84 190e, got off the 2nd guy who owned it. it has 101,0000 miles on it, a/c works, just the ticking & other mbz owners says it's normal?

got an oil change, tune up, cat removal & remus on. runs good, but how long???...new 2 a 190e

Sounds like it is normal, if it sounds like a Diesel for example a Volkswagen Golf, My 94'' Volvo makes a similar sound - does it make a minor ticking when the car is idle, and it increases as you give the car more gas? if so that sounds like a oldskool european engine

exactly...my stupid friends were laughing at me because i put a whole system in & about to put the old school 17" amg aero hammers on it. but they don't know about dtm's, just rice rockets.

story behind the car is tha i traded 2 xtant amps 4 the car on craigslist & the car is real clean!... ahh, haters!
