I never open my sunroof and tonight I opened it and not it will not close fully. It is currently 3/4 way close and stops. Track looks cleans. I don't know what to do. The weather channel says its going to rain today in the even. If I can't fix this ASAP. I will have to take my car to a local Euro repair shop.

Please help.

this is generally a problem with the track being warped. if it closes slower before it stops completely than this 99% of the time the cause. if it's a coupe than it's a huge pain time wise to change. if it's a sedan than it's not nearly as bad

I heard you just need to grease the rails if that happens.

not necissarily. if it's binding to a hault then there more than likely something bigger wrong.

Try closing the sunroof without using the auto close detent in the switch. If it still binds up then you have a more serious issue at hand. But, if the sunroof will close and then pops back about an inch or so it sounds like it needs to be renormalized. Hope this helps.
