How do you change the front rotors on the 1990 560 SEL?

You have to take off the hubs. So you will service the wheel bearings when you do the rotors.

Gullwing,

Sorry for the slow response, but, thank you for the info on the brakes. Do you have the answer to this new question? Where are the oil level sensor and oil sender located on the 560 SEL? Are they hard to change?

Level sensor should be on the side of the oil pan, I think just two bolts... simple.
Oil sender? Oil pump? You would have to remove the oil pan, not sure how hard, but probably not easy.

Thanks Gullwing. Here's another question. How hard is it to change the accumulators on the same 1990 560 SEL and the bulk hose that supposedly comes from the hydraulic bottle to the accumulators?

Ummmm not sure.
I did one on a W140 years ago, should be straight forward.
Make sure you are aware of the pressure involved. Might be a bleed screw, but don't know. Just be careful when you start to loosen up lines.
To bleed the system on the W140 we just added several hundred pounds to the trunk several times.
