driving in france

My merc e230cdi is in Ireland and I want to drive in france. Is there a way of changin headlights direction so Im not going to dazzle other drivers. In my old car and audi the lights were adjustable by a dial.

Pls help

The daytime running lights (parking lights) can be controled with the headlight switch.

The headlights could be re-aimed although it is not something you would want to do temporairaly.

a little black tape is what most of people driving on the other side do..... when they come accross the channel.

What I did when I moved my car from Continental Europe to England some years ago, was first re-aim the headlights, and then also use tape, if the aiming still allows too much light in the wrong direction. I believe this works the best.
In your case you should re-aim your headlights so that the throw more light toward your right. The tape-only solution is really only a temporary fix, as it blocks too much light, that you could use to illumintate the right side of the road.
