Expected life: 3.5 v6 in e350
Hi all,
New owner here of a 2009 e350. I am doing some budgeting and trying to figure out how many miles I should be able to get out of the engine block before a rebuild is required.
I was thinking 200k miles (ambitious I know). What are the common engine faults in this build?

Engines rarely come out of any MB (other than A/B class which are removed to get the transmission out). As long as you have regular oil changes with a good quality oil that meets the required specs then I doubt you will ever have the engine out for a rebuild.
I've seen plenty of the previous V6/V8's (M112 and M113) with 300-400k mi and diesels with over 600k mi without any problems.
