need help with a strange one-friend stated to me at times cluster will lose illumination-verified brief loss of illumination then appears that the cluster does a reset check engine lamp on srs lamp on esp lamp on also ocp lamp comes on and i hear what sounds like the steeriing lock cycle-happens for 1 second and returns to normal-attempted to reduplicate by isolating individual circuits, 15-30-50 with no verification of fault-installed a new cluster and damn did not fix it-im leaning toward eis switch being that at times it does not recognize key position and requires key be cycled to start- i have never experienced this issus nor have any of my mb tech buddies- your input would be appreciated not interested in waisting more money

replaced eis and key -on sat , no issues since -sometimes you have to pull the trigger and go with it
