Need advice!!!
Hey bros!
I have a 1987 W124 mercedes. This car belonged to my father so i don't want to sell it. I want to repair everything in it so i'm thinking to purchase a 1995 w 124 with full features from UK, because there the cars are cheaper. After i'll bring it home i'm thinking of taking the engine, transmision, suspension, brakes, the entire interior, etc. and install it on my car.
So before i'll do it i would like to get advices.
Please suggest me if it is real to do or not.

I see the car has senteminal value but if you buy another car and swap everything over but the chassis, is it really even the same car? Why not just restore the 87 to factory and then keep the nice 95 for another driver.

It won't be the same car, but anyway, the interior isn't possible to be repaired, plus there is no ABS, or Air conditioning, or anything. I want to restore it the way i said and after to keep it for my children.
I thought if i'll do this project than i'll be the only person who would own a 1087 W 124 in such a good shape, and with all features.
About my question do you thing it is possible???

Anything is possible if you're willing to spend the money on it. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I pretty much did a similar deal with my Camaro (was my first car). From what you're saying the 87 isn't in the best of shape, so I say go for it.

Send it to the Mercedes Benz Classic Center in California. They do pretty decent work, and they have the know how to properly restore your car.
