MB ML320 - 2003

Hello, new here, seems like a highly knowledgeable place.

Anyways, today my 2003 ML320 decided to not cooperate. I was driving and all of a sudden, one by one, every light indicator on the bottom of the dash came on starting left to right. Then the radio turned off, windshield wipers turned off, the A/C kept running, and then leaving the light it would not switch gears. I pulled over to the side, turned the car off. I went to turn it back on and nothing happened. A/C blew, lights worked, radio worked, but the car would not even try to turn over. My girlfriends Dad came to jump me, hooked up the cables and voila! It started! He followed me back home, the minute I applied the breaks it started all over again, I made it home, turned off the car, and then I came back to where I was before her Dad jumped me.

Any idea as to what this could be?? All the shops are closed now, I believe I will give Alex Rodriguezes shop in Clear Lake a shot, I am not too happy with North or Greenway.

Thanks!

Could be something as simple as the battery failing.

Or the alternator.

BTW, your car is a W163 and there's a separate forum for them.

I had a feeling it would be the alternator.

I did post in the w163 forum but I did not receive any responses.
