W203 V6 Dipstick
Based on the well publisized numbers for add = 148mm, full = 168mm and tube at top = approx 735mm has anybody here tried the dipstick from a V6 out of an E, CLK or ML. I know that those are located in the front of the engine and appear too short. But if we look at the numbers subtracted from 735mm it seems that those dipsticks might just be long enough.
I tried to talk my dealer into letting me try on my car and of course compare it to the shop tool but didn't get very far.
Maybe someone here has the capability to try this and inform the rest of us; limitations, pics, new markings, etc.
