E320 2001 Rear Brake Light

When I step on the brake, sometimes the malfunction message pops up saying to check my bulbs. My driver side rear brake light will stop working. Although the bulb wasn't blown, I switched it, but it didn't help. Any idea's where I should look next?

Thank you,

----Tom

if that specific bulb stops working and the bulb looks fine, then inspect the contacts of the bulb socket.. if the metal contacts around the bulb socket look burnt or corroded, you can try to scrape some of it off as a temporary fix.. Best thing to do is just replace the tail lamp assembly if this is your issue..

There is no corrosion around the socket. I'll look to purchase the lamp assembly today. Aside from the dealer, any recommendations online for this item?

Thank you,

Do you have any info on how to replace the light assembly?
