My CL65's battery just died. The date stamp was 6/08. The battery is at most 1.5 years old. I am not the original owner. If the battery failed during the initial warranty period does MB replace the battery? Since the battery is relatively new, what warranty do I have on the battery? Is it pro-rated or will the dealer give me a new battery?

If the car is new it's covered under your normal limited warranty of the vehicle. If the battery was purchased over the parts counter it comes with a 2 year/unlimited mileage warranty. You of course need proof of purchase being the receipt.

I purchased a new battery from my local Mercedes Benz dealer a year ago and it is dead already! Had the car checked and they stated nothing is wrong with the vehicle yet they want to charge my another $500.00 for a new battery...NO! What is the warranty on these Mercedes Benz Batteries?
