Dipstick Tube Extended to Bottom of Pan?
New owner of beautiful '02 CLK 430.
I've got a vacuum pump that I use for various hobbies and plan to pull my oil into a bucket (I won't get into it, but am completely comfortable with the execution).
My question is in regards to the dipstick tube arrangement. I have read some posts elsewhere that claim that the dipstick tube extends to the bottom of the pan, and is used by some/most dealers as the vacuum point. If this is the case, the larger diameter would certainly flow faster than another plastic tube inserted inside of it.
Anybody know whether I need to source a small, stiff tube, or simply attach to the top of the dipstick tube?
