water pump gasket
my new water pump comes with 2 gaskets. a rubber and a metal-paper coated.
should i also use rtv sealant with it?
my old pump was replaced by dealer a while ago with no problems...when i popped it off i saw that the tech only used the rubber one with gasket glue. should i go with his formula or what?

There are 2 different versions of timing covers. One had a flat sealing surface which needs the metal gasket and the other had a groove to use the rubber gasket. That's why they come with 2 gaskets. Use whichever suits your vehicle.
No need for sealant, they seal very well without. It won't hurt if you do use it though so it's up to you.
