Castrol Syntec 0W-30 and 229.5 Spec

I'm getting ready to change the oil in a 2007 E350, and I plan on using the 'German Castrol' 0W-30. I know this is the European formula and is 229.5 approved, but all the bottles I've purchased here in Canada have the old red label on the bottle, and only have up to 229.3 approval on the back. Did something change to the newer oil in the new bottles that gave it 229.5 approval? Can I use this oil safely in my car? Thanks.

I've only seen Castrol Syntech 5W-40 European formula that is 229.5. Canadian Tire carries it.

Thats odd, I haven't seen a bottle of 5W-40 that meets 229.5, even the Castrol website says it is only good to 229.3. According to this page, 0W-30 is the only grade that meets the spec. I checked the date code on my bottles and it is from Feb. 2010.

I must look at the label again and get my eyes checked.
