83 300d tie rod end

my passenger side tie rod end is all jacked up, is this a diy job? nothing seems to be broken but the joint near the tire, tire wobbles side to side not up or down. part is 40 bucks and from looking at the part it doesn't look very complicated but i've been surprised before lol. what does inner/outer refer to when buying the part?

awesome so i think its the outer then, is that something i can do myself then? just jack it up, take off the messed up part and put the new one on, then get it aligned? thanks for the quick reply

If you count the number of exposed threads on the existing one and install the new one the same way you might get away without having to align.
