M112's MAF Signals?

Anyone here happened to know what type of signal does the MAF send out to the ME-SFI? Is it analog base, .1v->5v or frequency based?

Its a hot film type sensor, there is a small heated wire in the middle of the air flow which is cooled off more as more air flows in. The ME figures in the amount of current it takes to keep the wire at a pre set temp, and gets a reading from that. Its not one you want to mess with cause the computer will throw on the F-U light.

Smile mass air sensor

yes, this is partley correct. the sensor keeps the wire 160 degrees celcius above ambient temerature for a base, the output to the ME is linear 1.2 - 1.8 volts at idle, voltage increases as airflow increases up to 5 volts.

test using oscilliscope is suggested, due to multimeter internal impedance.
