02 Sensor problem

Model, w210

Codes
P0150
P0156

So yesterday I replaced the primary and secondary 02 sensor on the driver side of this car, I cleared the code with a scanner and then after about 30 miles, the CEL came on again. I ran the code and the same code as before came up.

I am clueless on what to do.

By the way, the old 02 sensors had a bunch of white stuff on it.

Any suggestions? PLUS, I have to get it smogged soon

could be the cat. the white stuff on them could have been catalyst material that is breaking apart.

Well, the primary 02 had a bunch of white stuff on it, and that's precat. While the secondary 02 has white stuff on it but it was about 60% as much as the primary 02

the white your seeing on the 02 sensor is normal if it is just residue. The catalyst efficiency might not be in order and could cause the 02 sensors to code up

there bank1 and bank2 make sure you change the rite side . on your code is bank2 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 2. After you change it, make sure look at live data to see if they have signal to both of that sensors or not..if not you might need new ECM-ECU
