What does "need brakes" warning look like?

I know my front pads are pretty low and the rotors need to be replaced (some warping developed recently), but my BAS and ABS warnings came on all of a sudden today. Is that the pad warning?

If the BAS and ABS lights are on, then there is another problem in the system and you should go to the dealer and have them check it out. A pretty comon occurance on the W210's which go bad alot is the Brake Lamp Switch. That will set codes in both the BAS and ABS systems. There are many other things that it could be along with the brake lamp switch, but that's the most comon.

If your brakes are low a symbol will come up on the cluster showing a symbol similiar to this: (O)
Or it may come up and say Brakes Low along with this symbol.
