Shift Control & Shifter '02 CLK 55
A cup of coffee down the center console of my 2002 CLK 55 fried (until it dried) the transmission electronics under the shifter. The dealer replaced the entire assembly at no charge; but the car seems to perform less well now -- shift points are off and there's less torque. Ideas? I was surprised the dealer had the assembly in stock. Does the 55 use the same assembly as CLK 430 and 320?
