I think I have a short in my CD changer power wire in my trunk (brown, red, blue wire bundle). I've used a multimeter and I get the following:
Radio off:
Red to Brown: 12v
Blue to Brown: 12v
Radio on:
Red to Brown: 12v
Blue to Brown: 11v
The blue wire, which should be a turn on signal, seems to drop slightly when I power the radio on, but basically stays constant. I thought it would be 12v when radio is on and 0v when radio is off.
Can anyone confirm what proper behavior is and any possible causes?
Basically, my Dension iPod unit no longer powers up because of this, it causes the fiber chain to break, and the whole audio system won't work until I disconnect the Dension.
