BAS ESP Sensor Problem?

I just new rear brake pads on my C230 and the BAS ESP warning light comes on. It does not do it every start of the car or driving session, but at least 50% of the time.

I understand that there is a sensor related to the BAS ESP located in the rear brakes. Could anyone tell me where this is located and if this could be my problem? Could it have gotten dirty or missaligned when I replaced the pads and blew out all the brake dust?

Any other things I should look for? The warning light never came on prior to the pad change.

I have the same warning lights on my 2002 S430. Today the SRS light came on. I bring my car in on Monday. I'll let you know what they say.
