2007 E320 Bluetec mileage question
Just purchased a used 2007 E320 Bluetec with 45000 miles. I have a 2005 E320 CDI which has over 163,000 miles and is going strong.
Drove the 2007 from Las Vegas to Phoenix. The miles per gallon were around 26.5 which is terrible for highway miles. My 2005 probably averages around 35 miles per gallon. Would there be a significant difference between the 2 models?
Can 19" tries instead of 16" factory tires cause that much of a mileage difference? The tires are Pirelli P Zero Nero.
Also, the ESP light comes on and the system is disabled. When I shut the car off, it resets for awhile. In Las Vegas, it came on 5 or 6 times. Driving from Las Vegas to Phoenix, it did not come on at all.

The 19 in tires may cause speedometer/odometer error so that you don't really know your mileage unless you're calulating it from mileposts or maps or something.
They are of course heavier, which affects fuel economy as well.
