1996 E320 Climate Control Issue

Hi there -
I have a 1996 E320 with the digital climate control system (I am in the US). Last night, the climate control system began acting strange. After setting my desired temperature, the temp selected started going down, on its own, all the way to "LO". Also, the recirculate light was flashing. I tried shutting the car off, restarting it, but that did not fix the issue.

Is there a way to simply reset the climate control console? - or any other ideas on what is causing the problem?

Just curious, did you find anything out? From your description I was guessing at a wiring problem or short.

Thanks for the note Dan; actually, it is still a mystery to me. I have been traveling so much, that I have not had a chance to look into it. Although, I did just take a video of it, to see if that might help folks to come up with some ideas:

1985 300cd 1994 E320 cab.

take it off auto on both side by changing the vent direction see if you can change temp if you cant there is not a reset procedure you can do because you have to have the left vent on low and right on high to get into the diagnostic and reset procedure reset
