Hi, recently purchased 1997 SLK230 Komp. The other day after travelling approx 30m from my home i noticed, while attempting to pull away from a roundabout, the revs were very low and it took a while to get moving. Subsequently once i picked up speed i noticed the car would not change into 4th. Now, tonight when i got ion from work i tried the car again and it was fine. Has anyone seen this before and is there a simple fix? Thanks for your help.

did you get a check engine light on the dash or just a transmission shifting issue?

the transmission could be low on fluid or you may have an issue with one of the speed sensors on the valve body.

There was no warning lights on at all.
