HelloI have an 09 CLk which has had a new windscreen.
Pilkingtn tinted glass was fitted by the dealer rather than the clear Sekurit glass it orignally came with.
The headlights stayed on all the time on auto, even in bright sunlight.
MB dealer adjusted the sensor ( can this actuallly be done ) and now on sunny days the lights still stay on.
Is it a rip the screen out job and try a clear screen to OEM spec to get the sensor to work propoerly ?

Please advise because i am getting thoroughly fed up with it.
Only had the car for 3 weeks.................

Unaccepatble from the dealer, they are easy to recode, they may have needed to replace the light sensor and haven't done so. Give it back, it's not like they couldn't test it before handing the car back to you.

I had the dealer put back in a genuine Mercedes screen today, and retest the sensors for light and rain.
Works perfect once again.
Conclusion = you cant beat a genuine Saint Gobain Sekurit MB screen for clarity and actually working with the sensors.
