clk window scratches

clk window scratches
have a car in the shop now, 2000 CLK430 with severe vertical window scratching. is there any way to pervent this from happening in the future?

Do you have tinted windows?
What I thought was scratches on the inside of my windows was actually scaratches on a light tint that the previous owner had put on. In talking to the MB dealer, I was told that the brushes that clean/wipe the windows as they go up and down on W-202 scratch most window tint over time. The dealer said that good window tint people replace the OEM brushes with softer ones to prevent this from happening.
If the glass itself is scratched, maby there is a big problem with the brushes. Is your car still under warrantee? If so, have your dealer look at it.
