Exact Same Error Message Every Single Morning..!
Hey guys,
Every morning when I first start up my '02 CL600 I get this same error message about the battery:

Can anyone tell me what I can do to prevent this from happening?
It never shows up the rest of the day, only at the beginning...
Regards,
Tom

Buy a new battery. Really. It's losing voltage when it sits overnight and probably doesn't sit long enough during the day to drop low enough to trigger the warning. This is the first sign of a battery reaching the end of it's life.
How old is the battery? The first one in my SL lasted 5 years, but I ran it down twice by leaving the lights on. The first symptom that it was done for was that I would get the "electrical consumers offline" message after leaving the car sit for 3-4 days when I was traveling.

Actually my mechanic replaced the battery just last week and it's still doing it.
So annoying to have an error message as soon as I turn the key...

Yes both the mechanic and I initially thought my car came equipped with two batteries but now he seems convinced I only have one?
I am not sure what to think...

Alternator regulator or the Diodes in the Alternator dying. Try the reg first, if it doesn't solve it then replace/rebuild the alternator.
