reprogramming smartkeys
My C230K came with 3 button (panic, door lock/unlock) smartkeys. After inspection, I noticed there is a button for the rear hatch on the internal circuit boards of the originals. So I bought an e-bay key ( 4 button from an 02 sedan - truthfully just for the outter shell - so my hatch release works). I switched the internal board of the e-bay key with my original, and everything works fine, including the hatch release.
I would like the 'third key guts' to work with my 02 C230K. Is there a way for me to reprogram this third key without visiting the dealer? The manual only describes how to reset a key if the door/window function stops working. Would one of you techs please PM me with a yes or no answer on this? I rarely check this forum.
