ML500 Blower will not stop
I have a 06 ML500 that the heater blower will not stop. Even with the key out. I tried to unplug the smaller connector at the blower motor but still runs. I have to unplug the power connector to get it to stop. Some say that it might be the blower regulator that I assume is the card that these connectors plug into. I did take the blower out and took the cover off this module and it has some corrosion on it. I also osee that module can be removed My question is, am I on the right path or it is something else. If this module is the problem can I purchase just this module or do I need to get the entire blower. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Apparently this problem is not that common, but I do have it working at this time, I will explain so this might help someone else. After removing the blower I took off the plastic cover off had found the corrosion, I got some electrical contact cleaner and a toothbrush, and cleaned off all of the corrosion on the board. Apparently the corrosion was conductive enough to short one of the electronic devices and turning on the fan. Be careful not to use a aggresive contact cleaner to do this because it could possibly melt some of the coating on the board. Good idea to try the cleaner on something else first to see how it react.

The regulator is only sold with the blower motor.
