My 2002 C230 Kompressor right front headlight goes on when I turn on the headlights and flashes a few times and then stays off. My dashboard screen says to check the lamp. I replaced the bulb but the problem continues. It is a halogen bulb.

I would appreciate any assistance.

 

My first suspicion is one or both of the "SAM" Signal Acquisition Modules are failing.
