1993 300E stuck in park and engine won't shut off

1993 Mercedes 300E
1993 300E stuck in park and engine won't shut off
The ignition harness grounded out at spark plugs,wires burned up and I replaced the whole harness,but after starting the 1993 Mercedes 300E 2.8 engine it won't shutoff or come out of park. I have to disconnect the battery and engage starter to turn it off. Can anyone help me solve this problem?
