I was wondering if anyone knew what wires (if any) run INSIDE the rocker panels under the door sills. I am going to install the Ill. Door sills on my new car coming in next week.. and do NOT want to tap into a CAN cable or something fiber optic. I'm sure that will MESS up stuff.

Just looking for a hot always on 12v source in a W211 E500. Of course without any "network" data running the same cable/wire.

Go to mercedesmods.com, one of the things done was the door sill. Good luck.

 

Been there thanks. But I think it was an older model CLK or something. I was afraid with all the new gadgets and networks in the new 03's something vital might run in the door sill tray.

I'll check it out again though. =)
