Hey guys,
I've been getting a left sidemarker bulb error on my '02 CL600 for over a year now. I use factory bulbs (Not LED) and yes they both light up. I'm am sick of my car being flawed though so what can I do?
My dealer says the only way he can fix it is if his techs trace the bulbs wiring until they find the defect. Sounds good but not $1,200 (!) good which was the price he quoted me.
So yeah that bill looming overhead has got me thinking of ways to (last ditch effort) maybe not have to pay the $1,200. lol The first thing I thought of was to try installing a resistor instead.. (Like people usually do to avoid error messages for LED bulbs.) The only problem is I have no idea where the best place to install it would be? Besides, if a disruption in the current has been causing this error message then why is the bulb still lighting up as brightly as ever?
So, yeah..if y'all have any other ideas please let me know
Later,
Tom
