Smoother Idle after battery disconnect?

Smoother Idle after battery disconnect?
I've disconnected my battery for long periods (15min+) and each time I noticed my car (98 C43) idles smoother afterwards. The resonance at low RPMs have also disappeared. Is this just some coincidence or is there some kind of explanation? Just curious.
