e200k m271 fuel problem??

Hi i have a e200k uk model it is a 2005. The problem i am having is fuel consumption is very bad, on the gauge i am averaging 13l/100km, so i hooked up the diagnostics and found no dtcs, but on fuel system 2 it is on closed loop fault. the short term fuel trim is 0% long term fuel trim is -10.47%. the readings for the map were off so i checked sensor and cleaned, after readings ok. maf sensor readings were way off so i replaced and now all good. i have also replaced 5 wire lambda sensor, 4 coil packs and spark plugs. engine is running good very smooth but the fuel consumption is very bad and im after hitting a wall at this stage any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated thank you

I would be looking for air leaks between the air mass meter and the throttle body. most likely places are at hose connections to the intercooler and the breather hose on the intake pipe just after the air mass meter. If the air leak was in the manifold or the usual breather hoses then the long term trim would be a positive number.

Thanks for the reply ausmbtech. I will check for leaks this evening and post what I find afterwards. Thanks again
