HOT SPOT on 03 ML350 heated seat
Is there a way to fix what I'm assuming is a short in the lower heated seat pad on a 03 ML seat? The heating element did not burnt through but was really hot almost burning my leg through my jeans.
I assume there is a short in that area.
Is there a generic replacement for the element? Areplacement seat cover is with the element is $450.00
Can I replace with any other model element from a used seat cover?

No.
No generic unit that I am aware of..
MB makes these as unique as possible, because they don't want easy swap from other models = dealer only.
