Hi, I need to clean my EGR valve and I was able to remove all the necessary items except this one bolt below the fuel rail. How exactly did anyone access this? I couldn't find any way with a few different options. Pulling the whole fuel rail is kind of a pain and I'm not sure how. Sooo close though! Thanks to anyone who helps. I tried wiggling the "union joint" which is the rusted looking big bolt and it loosened but didn't seem to budge much more than that.

I really need to clean it soon, getting smell in the engine bay area, so any help greatly appreciated!!

there are swivel sockets designed for this, snap on and other manufactures sell it. a 1/4 swivel 12 torx socket is the best to use, the bolt is only torque to 20 nm so it is easy to loosen.
