2006 C230 Sport Sedan--Error Code P0302.

I had this code today. I cleared the code and drove around a while and it came back...the same code. The code is Misfire Cylinder 2. I pulled the spark plug and the tip was bent into the tip of the electrode. No gap at all. No wonder why a misfire was happening. All other plugs were fine and the gap seemed good in them. I changed all the plugs, (89940 miles on car so needed all plugs changed) and all is fine now and no more check engine light. Problem fixed.

My question is, is the bent tip of the spark plug a concern? Is there some how that it bent on its own and if so, should I be concerned that I've got bigger problems in my car. Or could it be that the mechanic that worked on my car before pulled to plug to check on it and bent it accidently when putting it back in?

I'm far from a car expert. this is actually the first time I've ever worked on my car. Any advice/answers would be much appreciated.
