Just replaced the car battery on my 08 GL450. now the push to start with the smart key does not work. i have to start the car manually by uncapping the push button and inserting the smartkey. anyone have any ideas or do i have to take it to the dealer?

I heard heard somehing about not having the key to close to the car when changing the battery it messes up the key? Hopefully, someone knows and it's an easy fix.
