2002 C240 Sedan Getting Hot and Misfiring

The other day while on a long drive and with hot temps outside my car started missing really bad and would barely run. I could wait a few minutes and drive another 100 yards. It was getting late so when I saw a place to eat I pulled in. After two hours and with outside temp down in the low 70's F I started her up and made the 14 miles home. The engine gauge indicated 120-140 but I think is usually runs around 80-100. I drove her 3 miles to town and back and she drove well but the engine temp is still rising too much. The fan does not seem to be running. I hooked up the OBD2 and P0300,301,302,303,304,305,306,307 came up. Could the SAM be the issue? Is there and way to check the fan? Is the coolant pump electric and mounted on the passenger side foreward? This is my first issue with this car so I don't have technical knowledge on her yet. Time to learn. Thanks.
