how to test wiper motor and switch
2006 C230 wiper motor quit, checked 40 amp fuse it was good, want to disconnect wiper motor at fuse box and test for power to see if switch is working or if something else wrong.
need wiring diagram and how to test..Help

hello,
not sure if you still need wiring diagram-but from memory its block 1 on the front SAM module.your checking for live,earth,signal also you need to make sure when testing that the doors are closed and bonnet catches tripped as the wipers wont work anyway.

thank you for replying, so if the hood is up and a door is open the wipers will not work, is that correct?
I do not know what the SAM module is, is it the fuse box under the hood?

yes the front sam is the fuse box under the hood on the driver side, the wipers will not work if the hood is up.so you will have to manually trip the hood locks to test. roll down your driver window so you can keep the door closed so you can operate the switch through the window. the wiper system is pretty simple, if you have power at the sam then you either have a bad switch or a bad motor.
