Adjustable Air suspension

Good evening folks,

I'll soon be a proud Merc owner and glad to find a good forum full of resource!

I'm looking for a little help prior to buying a CLS320 CDI, likely 2005 / 2006.

Not many listings seem to mention the adjustable air-suspension being fitted (perhaps sellers aren't always aware?) and I'm looking for a little help;

Is the standard ride as firm as people suggest? I've a '99 Jag XJR which I think it a great drive, would the CLS be harder?
Would anyone with adjust. susp on their CLS recommend, or not worth holding out for?
Where is the adjuster for the CLS - in case I have to guide the salesman into how to check it for me?
Are there any known problems / recalls I should check have been completed?
Any other comments on a second hand CLS320?

Thanks for your help people!
