93 190e 2.3L Oil in water????
Alright Benz experts, I need opinions. I have a 1993 190e 2.3L with 133k on it. It is an awesome little ride. Here's the rub:
I'm seeing bits of oil in the water, but no water in the oil. Compression is good and the car does not spit out fluid when running. I am going thru about a quart of oil every week and a half. Water more often. The exhaust manifold has turned white. There is no loss of power(not that it ever was a burner), and is totally dependable.
The problem is, it just doesn't show all the usual signs of a head gasket problem. If it needs one, I'll get it done. I got the car for a song and it looks almost showroom. It could use new headlight & fog light lenses but that's it!
