1989 190e, 2004 e320 4matic
Stalling e320

I have an 04 e320 4Matic. it starts fine and runs fine for about 15 minutes. then it stops as if the key was turned off. then it wont start. if you leave it sit for about a half hour it will start again and do the same thing. sometimes the check engine light comes on, others it doesn't. please help.

99.999% probability that it's the Crankshaft position sensor. As temperature goes up, so does resistance. Replace the crankshaft position sensor and you'll be fine.

If you want to be sure about the diagnosis, hook up and OBD code reader. You'll see that the ME has set a crankshaft position sensor fault. If you don't own a code reader, I'd be very confident that the sensor is @ fault...
