How to tell if the seat belts are good after crash
Hi, could somebody tell me if my front seat belts are good or not ...what should I look for ...
The rear seatbelts must need to be replaced because they are both stucked, but the front ones work normally so I don`t know if they are good or not ... How can I tell ?
The car as 2 airbags deployed ,the curtain on the right side and the one beside the right rear seat .
The car was hit in the right door and front fender .
The car is a C250 coupe 2013
Thank`s

Answer
If the explosive (belt) restraint went off, they never again have normal function.
If there is any doubt, your local MB dealer can safely scan the SRS system to verify what components are damaged.

Thank`s for your feedback , so if the front ones operate normally they should be OK , I read on the net this morning that when the seat belts explode they dont retract afterward .

Explosive triggering is a destructive process to prevent injury - save life.
Neither the engineer or company care if the component is demolished, as long as it functions as designed #1 time.

Seatbelts take stress during collisions, and weave damage to belt itself cannot always be seen with the eye.
Any seat that had a person in it needs to have its seatbelt replaced, or the seatbelt may fail the next time.
